Riverside Walk Zemun
The swans on this stretch of the Danube are permanent residents — the neighbourhood feeds them every morning, all year.
Two kilometres of flat riverside promenade: floating bars, cafes and fish restaurants on one side, open Danube on the other. It runs from Hotel Jugoslavija to Gardos and is paved the whole way, so it fills with cyclists, skaters and prams.
Why it's worth it
It is the best sunset in the city because you face due west across open water, with no buildings cutting the horizon.

The fish restaurants on the quay are fine, but people from Zemun walk two blocks inland to Glavna — same fish, half the price, no tourist menu.
